Day 2 and Day 3 of my Art Journal!

First of all I need to make a correction on my previous post (I am sure I can do this on the actual post but I cant work out how).  That's how computer savvy I am.  One of my favourite Madeit stores I said was Sweet Chenille whereas it is actually 'VINTAGE CHENILLE".  The store address is correct so please go and check it out.

Now...................... I am sooooooooooo loving this Art Journal idea. I am up to date and at this stage, managing to do a page a day.  I am sure there will be days that I won't be able to complete a full page but I sure plan on spending a few minutes a day, at least, on it!

Here are my day 2 and day 3 pages..........

003
02-01-11 - I can't draw for quids but tried to freehand some images and used rubons for other images.  All I used was my black gel pen, red pen and bits and pieces of left over rubons.  This was really out of my comfort zone but I enjoyed the process and I guess that is what this is all about.

03-01-11 - I have just used some scrap paper, tearing a piece for the top corner and inking it. I swiped my distress ink on some acetate, spritzed it with a 'Frost' spritz and then dipped the handmade paper into it. Cut out some flowers and vines from more scrap paper (Jenni Bowlin I think it was) and used up more left over alphas.  Gotta love leftovers!!

Well, two posts in one day, I think I have done well.

I am off to go and check out some of the talented ladies also doing the Art Journal and hopefully get some more inspiration for tomorrow's page.

Cheers,

Sue

  1. Bravo Sue! You've taken the first steps... and remember what Julie said: You don't have to complete a page every day, just spend 10 minutes or more with the process. I can't say I have actuallu completed a journalled page at all yet, but I am drawing and that is the most important thing for a slacker like me!! 'o)
PS - rubons are brilliant and I really like your flowers!
