..........is not always a bad thing. These are photos of a Hoya plant we have on our front trellis. The plant used to belong to my husband's dear mum. She passed away almost 17 year ago and, without fail, every year, it gets neglected. But every year it produces the most beautiful cluster of blooms. We don't neglect it intentionally. Its just that.......Um.........I'm struggling here..........no excuses really. It's just that I don't have a green thumb. The only green thumb that i have is the one I get when using green paint!
Anyway, I was out on the front veranda the other day trying to take a photo of this gorgeous blue wren in one of our trees (never did manage to catch it) when I noticed all the clusters. Once again, without fail, every time I look at this plant, I remember Clarice. I didn't know her for very long but she was a lovely lady and very sadly missed. It is wonderful to have something extra to prompt all the special memories that we have of her.
After feeling extremely guilty about neglecting this poor plant I had to Google it to find out a bit more and I need feel guilty no more. Hoya's love neglect. So there you go - neglect is not always a bad thing!!
Till next time, Happy scrapping.
Sue
