The Gift of Friendship.

"The definition of a friend is someone who's coming in the door when every body else is walking out.'

I just wanted to share a few photos with you, of gifts given to me by my two best and beautiful friends, Karen and Shana.  I love these two ladies to bits and they are always "there" for me whenever I need them.  As you will see from the photos, they are also very creative. 

Shana made this gorgeous mannequin for me.  She has put so much love and thought into it and every time I look at it I think of her.  I must say that I rarely dust (if you don't write in it you can't tell how thick it is and who has time for dusting anyway, when there are so many things to make!!!!), but this is one object that always gets a dust.  I love the crocheted flowers around the neck, made to look like a choker necklace.  And the way she has pleated a full 12" sheet of patterned paper and molded it to fit.  The lace around the neck, as a shawl, is just gorgeous.  The photo doesn't do it justice.  And I love the Heidi Swapp sticker on the front with gemstones.  The colours, the, well, just everything about it I love.  Is she one talented lady, or what?!?!?

This next little guy was made for me by my other gorgeous friend, Karen.  We are all a little bit owl/bird crazy at the moment and every time I look at him I just feel like laughing.  That's how happy he makes me feel.  You know, that is what Karen and I do all the time, is laugh.  No matter what is happening in either of our lives, good or bad, we always manage to have a good old chuckle. 

 

 

I just adore the little red heart on his bum.  How Cuuuuute!  Isn't he a little stunner?  He is made completely of felt.  I am sure my kids think that I have "lost it" because I have been caught out on several occasions bending down looking at him from different angles.  Why you ask?  Because if you look at him from different angles he has a different look to him each time.  It's true!!!!!!

I just had to add this last photo as well.  Obviously the flash didn't need to be on but it cracks me up when I look at this because it looks like he has just been caught in a spotlight.  Don't his eyes look bigger (or am I really losing it?)?

I hope you have enjoyed looking at these gorgeous gifts of mine as much as I enjoy looking at them every day.  I am so lucky to have two such wonderful women in my life and I will not only treasure their gifts but also their.....................................Gift of Friendship.
